Ending The Remaining Inconsequence: Back To Familial Friendship

And if, in order to restore, at least partly, the real paradise (=garden) of Mother Terrian Nature, we would prioritize the role of human-gardener for shared harmony, instead of human-predator for selfish “survival”? It gets more and more obvious that the human great property is not natural, it is predatory concerning fellow humans and non-humans, it comes in contradiction with the superior role required historically from the evolved humans – to protect Terra Family. People are changing, a lot us us say: “Enough is enough.” And the best capacities require the best obligations.

All Terra needs decent life conditions, not just survival. Darwin crystallized for us, above all, the idea of positive evolution. However, the darwinian model of natural selection is quite wrong, because it is incomplete, and especially, it does not take into account the cultural power of FRIENDSHIP (or amity, kindness). What is Friendship if not the first natural and cultural law, that every living being learns in her/his/its family, from mother and father to child? This family-based law, fundamental for ethics in Nature and Human Society, “Be friendly, not enemical unto others” created the communities, the exchange, the cooperation, the mutual aid – highlighted by Kropotkin, Delage, Servigne et al. If we must regain the essentials, then we have to look to family instead of class (an occasion to deflate marxism, too!).

In comparison, the law of natural selection, too quickly transformed in a blind competition-predation for “survival”, which got a despaired, irreflective tone because of unwise human ideas and conflicts, will be acknowledged as a destructive, irrational law, incompatible with the superior capacities of Homines sapientes. If there is a selection to make, the first should be a cultural one, sorting the good ideas from the bad ones. With our ancient culture, we can assume a role of gardeners, rather than predators, of Terra protectors, rather than destructors.

Humans need a global acknowledgment of this primary FRIENDSHIP-BY-CULTURE law, from which two specific laws are to be derived:

1. As the child and protector of Terra Family, every human being having more capacities and skills will CULTIVATE and SHARE the necessary for a decent life with fellow humans and non-humans less cultured/less evolved. The individual/corporate social evaluation will start from the capital culture, not from capital money, and all capital will be deflated, eco-socially harmonized and shared according to decent necessities. Everything being the fruit of around 3.8 billions years of evolution, will be protected and secured. Given the fact that we still have to cause the decease of some plants and animals, to cover a consumption necessary for existence, this consumption will be, by compassion with the victims, more severely limited and reasonably justified. The young will receive special protection, for full development.

2. Every human being will INTEGRATE her/his properties in such an eco-social manner, as to avoid any nuisance to the environmental (not toxic) and social interest (not excessive). All exceptions accepted until today will be thoroughly revised and diminished up to cancelation. The property terms will be legally revised in this goal of integration. Excessive properties will be considered abuse, if they do not respect the rules of non-nuisance and sufficiency.

We have the mind free to judge all this, we have the tools. We have the beautiful ideals and dreams that animated humanity over millennia. We can return from an excedentary industrial culture to a more nature- and society- friendly culture. Let us be all a Good Family again!
